Building Expansion Joint

Building Expansion Joint

Product Code: MD-VLV-0036

Features: Consists of two separate stainless-steel bellows. | Absorbs lateral, angular and axial movements. | Used mainly to protect pipelines at building transition points where differential foundation movement or settlement may occur. | The universal expansion joint permits large lateral movement in all planes; movement capacity can be increased by increasing the length of the center pipe. | Provides greater axial, lateral and angular movement capacity than a single tied expansion joint. | When designed with two tie rods positioned 180° apart, the universal expansion joint can accommodate both lateral and angular movement. | Four tie rods positioned at 90° intervals are used when angular movement must be restrained. | Standard axial movements are 30 and 60 mm, while lateral movements are 50, 100, 150 and 200 mm; special designs are available for other movement values. | Standard production is PN 16; higher pressure classes are available. | Model selection is based on the medium, temperature, pressure, total movement, installation location and connection type. | Available in flanged (FAF5410) and welding-end (FAF5420) versions. Applications: All building expansion-joint crossings | Pipelines | Storage tanks | Heat exchangers | Fuel tanks | Filling facilities Temperature: -20, +430 °C
