Features: The two hinged half-discs are positioned in the flow passage. | Stainless-steel discs seat against EPDM sealing rings installed in the body and provide 100% tight shut-off. | When flow starts in the designated direction, the fluid passes between the body and the opened discs. | The discs pivot about their hinge axis and open the flow passage. | When flow stops, spring force closes the discs against the EPDM seats in the body and provides 100% tight shut-off. | Designed to minimize pressure loss in the pipeline. | The short face-to-face dimension allows easy installation between two flanges. | Partially open discs create additional restriction and pressure loss, disturb the flow and increase the risk of water hammer; correct sizing and operating conditions are therefore important. | Manufactured with two stainless-steel half-discs. | Can be installed horizontally or vertically. | Maintenance-free design.
