A DIN 7991 countersunk socket screw is used where the head must not project above machine, equipment or panel surfaces. It is available in carbon or stainless steel and in various sizes and finishes. ## Dimensions The source provides M3–M24 data for thread pitch, hex socket, head diameter, head height and socket depth. Example pitches are 0.50 mm for M3, 1.00 mm for M6, 1.75 mm for M12 and 3.00 mm for M24. ## Use - Prepare the correct countersink angle. - The tightened head should remain flush. - Use a fully fitting hex key. - Avoid distortion from excessive tightening on thin parts.
