HAP-A: Standard acoustic louver. HAP-B: Acoustic louver with enhanced attenuation. Acoustic louvers are installed at the ends of supply and exhaust ducts to reduce noise transmitted through the ductwork from fans or air-handling units. They also reduce sound transmission between indoor and outdoor spaces. At the same time, they protect the ventilation system against rain, birds and similar external influences. • Material
• The acoustic louver reduces aerodynamic noise generated as outdoor air passes through the unit. Sound attenuation is provided by 50 kg/m³ acoustic insulation and perforated sheet with Ø5 mm holes on the air-contact surface. An optional wire mesh prevents foreign objects from entering. The casing and blades are manufactured as standard from galvanized steel sheet, or from aluminium or stainless steel sheet on request.
